Wapda, Sindh to face off in National Netball final
Sindh will face Wapda in the women’s final while Pakistan Air Force (PAF) will compete against Wapda for the men’s title of the National Netball Championships at Hamidi Hall in the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad.
Defending champions Sindh will face Wapda in the women’s final while Pakistan Air Force (PAF) will be in action against Wapda for the men’s title clash of the National Netball Championships here at the Hamidi Hall in the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad.
In the first women’s semifinal Sindh trashed Punjab by 31-6 with Quraul Aian , Nayab Razia, Sakina Modi, Humaira Huma, Hina Rafique and Yusra showing brilliant performance throughout the match.
In second semi-final, Wapda after a good fight edged past Higher Education Commission (HEC) by 22-17 while Ume Laila Kulsoom, Rizwana and Sherish Nawaz played a major role in Wapda’s victory.
In the men’s event Wapda defeated HEC in well-contested first semi-final. Both sides played brilliantly but after a tough fight Wapda, last year’s the runners-up overcame their opponents by 29-21. In the other semi-final, PAF eased past Police 33-19.
Final Match will be played on today at 5.00 pm between Sindh and Wapda teams, while 3rd position match will also played between HEC and Punjab teams.
