Aqeel, Barkat Ullah Featuring in Sheheryar Malik Tennis Championship
Aqeel, Barkat Ullah defeated their opponents in Men’s Single of Sheheryar Malik National Grass Court Tennis Championship 2018 at PLTA tennis courts Bagh-e-Jinnah Lahore from 25th-31st March.
Sheheryar Malik tennis championship is organized by Rashid Malik Secretary Gen Punjab Tennis. In this seven days championship more than 200 boys and girls feature in this mega event including the top players of Pakistan. The championship comprises Mens singles, Mens doubles, ladies singles,U-18,U-14,U-12,U-10,seniors 40 plus doubles ,seniors 50 plus doubles and seniors 60 plus doubles events.
All the seeded players qualify for next round on opening day of Men’s single event. Overall 12 matches were decided in the men’s singles event and five in U-18 boys category. On day one in Men’s single event top Seed 38-year-old Aqeel Khan defeated his weak rival Ahmed Kamil in one sided encounter by 6-1, 6-1 in 30 minutes and qualify for the pre-quarterfinals while Barkat Ullah of KPK outplayed his home town player Shakil ullah by 6-1, 6-1. On opening day Rashid Malik Secretory Punjab Lawn Tennis Association graced the ceremony as chief guest.
