Nimra, Madhumala leading day one of South Asian Wushu Championship

Pakistani Nimra and SriLanka Madhumala won the gold medals on the opening day of 4th South Asian Wushu Championship at Sports Gymnasium, Nisther Park Sports Complex Lahore.

On the opening day of 4th South Asian Wushu Championship where Pakistani female athletes were leading the day. Nimra from Pakistan Greens remained first as she won the gold medal in the 48kg category. Parisa from Pakistan Whites bagged second position as she got the silver medal while Afghani Marzia and Rabia from Iran got third position respectively with the bronze medal.

52kg category gold was won by Sri Lankan Madhumala while Shabana from Pakistan Greens remained second with the silver. Sobia from Pakistan Whites and Khalida from Iran won the bronze medals.

Divisional sports officer Nadeem Qaiser was the chief guest while District Sports officer Tanveer Abbas, Sr. VP of Pakistan Wushu Federation Ambreen Iftikhar, Gen Secretory Aman ullah, Rehan Roshan were also present on the occasion.

It is to be mention here that more than 120 players from Afghanistan, Iran, Sri Lanka, Pakistan Greens, and Pakistan Whites are taking part in the four day long 4th South Asian International Wushu Championship.
