National Men, Women boxing championship kicks off in Lahore
36th edition of men and first ever women national boxing championship started at WAPDA sports complex, Lahore.
National men and women boxing championship started at WAPDA sports complex Lahore with the support of WAPDA sports board in collaboration with Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF). President Pakistan Olympics association Lt Gen (r) Syed Arif Hassan, chairman WAPDA and Patron-in-Chief WAPDA sports board Lt Gen (r) Muzammil Hussain were the chief guests on the occasion.
15 teams are participating in the 5 days long championship. Men athletes will participate in 10 weight categories. The first of its kind event is going to initiate as the sports is getting popular in females. 24 women athletes will also be featuring in the championship from provinces and associations in 3 different categories.
