1st Pakistan Closed Satellite Squash Events 2020 for Men and Women


Results:

               Prominent squash player from Bannu, Nasir Iqbal wins all five PSA title of 1st Pakistan Closed Satellite Squash Events 2020 For Men and women held at Sindh Rangers Jahagir Khan Squash Complex, Block B, North Nazimabad, Karachi.

  • Former Pakistan No 1 squash player, Nasir Iqbal clinched his first PSA title since 2015, by beating top seat Amaad Farid 11-5, 11-6, 11-2 at Sindh Open Squash Circuit-I. 
  • South Asian and Asian Team Championship 2016 gold medalist, Nasir Iqbal overcame emerging Noor Zaman in the Meraj Ltd. Sindh Open Squash Circuit-II.
  • Nasir easily trounced Amaad Fareed to add another feather in his cap by winning Malka Foods, Sindh Open Squash Event- Circuit –III title.
  • Nasir defeated Amaad Fareed 11-7, 11-9, 11-5 to win $1500 Sindh Open Squash Circuit-4 title.
  • Former world no.35 Nasir Iqbal, won the title of One Step Diagnostic Sindh Open Squash Circuit-5 by beating Peshawar-born Waqas Mehboob 11-6, 11-5, 11-2 in 21 minutes in the final. 

Background:

Karachi hosted, for the first time, five back-to-back international satellite squash events in March.

The first event of the 1st Pakistan Closed Satellite Squash Events 2020 For Men and women named as "Sindh Open Squash Event " which held on March 3rd-4th.

All event was held at Sindh Rangers Jahangir Khan Squash Complex, Block B, North Nazimabad, Karachi.

Each event for men carried prize money of $1000, while women event offered prize money of $500.

 Former Pakistan No 1 Nasir Iqbal is to feature in this WSF and PSA Satellite Tour.


 “I am very confident that Usama Khan will host these events single handedly and he has great management skills too,” said Jahanzeb Masud, the organizer said.
 “I hope they will learn from this young and energetic team how to host quality events with minimal cost for the promotion of squash,” Jahanzeb added.
