- The squash starlet from Peshawar, Mohammad Hamza Khan outshone Yusuf Sheikh of England to win the U-15 title at the British Junior Open Squash Championship.
- Noor Zaman and Muhammad Ammad secured third position in under-17 category.
More than 800 players, from 56 countries were featured in the 2020 British Junior which was held from January 2-6, 2020 in England.
Pakistan has a brilliant record at British Junior Open as electrifying squash juniors of nation have won a total of 12 titles since 1999 and this year eighteen promising juniors were competed in prestigious British Junior Open 2020.
Hamza Sharif, Haris Qasim and Uzair Shaukat were participated in the under-19 event while Noor Zaman, Asadullah, Ashab Arfan and Walid Khalil were seen in action in the under-17 competition.
Hamza Khan and Anas Ali Bukhari were vie in the under-15 event, while the duo of Abdullah Nawaz and Sakhi Tareen were participated in the under-13 event.
Asif Khan and retired Air Cmdr Aftab Qureshi and Hussain Odhwani were accompanied the squad as head coach and team manager, respectively.
Talented Farhan Hashmi was seeded fifth and Noor Zaman ninth in the under-17 category.
In the under-13 category, Abdullah Nawaz and Sakhiullah Khan were seeded 33rd. Humam Ahmed and Mazlan Khawar were seeded 65th in the under-15 category while Muhammad Ammad and Anas Ali Shah were seeded ninth.
In the under-17 category, Asadullah Khan was seeded 17th, and Waleed Khalil, Ashab Irfan and Syed Hasnain had got the 33rd seeding.
In the under-19 category, Haris Qasim and Hamza Sharif were seeded 17th, while Naveed Rehman & Uzair Shaukat had handed the 33rd seeding. Zeeshan Zeb was seeded 65th.
