Record Entries for HBL PSL 2024 Player Draft: 485 Players from 22 Countries

The ninth season of the tournament is tentatively scheduled from 8 February to 24 March 2024.

The Pakistan Super League is ready for its ninth season as Lahore Qalandars will look to defend their title. PCB has set the tournament window tentatively from 8 February to 24 March 2024. The draft for the tournament will take place on  13th December 2023. A total of 485 international cricket players from 22 countries have officially registered for the much-awaited HBL PSL 2024 Player Draft. The draft is set to take place on December 13 at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.

The Platinum category includes 46 players, while 76 players have signed up in the Diamond category. 

The foreign players for the draft include England's Dawid Malan and South Africa's Reeza Hendricks. Sri Lanka's Maheesh Theekshana and Afghanistan's Fazalhaq Farooqi and Mujeeb Ur Rahman are also up for grabs.

England takes the lead with 158 players, followed by West Indies with 58, Sri Lanka with 40, Afghanistan with 36, South Africa with 30, Bangladesh with 21, New Zealand with 18, Australia with 16, Zimbabwe with 11, and Ireland with 9.

Prominent names in the Platinum category include Daniel Sams, Ashton Agar (Australia), Ben Duckett, Dawid Malan, Chris Jordan (England), Imran Tahir (South Africa), and a host of West Indies stars like Kieron Pollard and Rovman Powell.

In the Diamond category players include Mohammad Nabi (Afghanistan), Ben McDermott (Australia), and Bangladesh's Litton Das and Mahmudullah, the Diamond category promises a pool of exceptional players.
