WAPDA win 20th National Netball Championship 2021 opener
WAPDA, the defending champions of both men’s and women’s events won the opening encounters of men’s and women’s events.
The 20th edition of National Netball Championship commenced at Hamidi Hall of the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad.

In the men’s event, WAPDA pulverized Gilgit-Baltistan 40-16 while in the women’s event they brushed aside Gilgit-Baltistan 33-2 and Azad Kashmir 48-1.
Eight matches were decided on the opening day.
In another match of the men’s event, PAF thrashed Punjab 32-22. In women’s games, Sindh thrown out Islamabad by 29-9, Army overpowered Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 35-4 while Punjab exhausted Elite 27-17.
Chairman PTI Standing Committee (Accountability and Discipline), Suleman Aftab graced the ceremony as chirf guest. The event had the presence of Pakistan Netball Federation president Mudassar Arain, vice-president Sameen Malik, secretary general Syed Gohar Raza and Islamabad Netball Association president Jibran-uz-Zaman.
