AO Clinic, Karachi Friends, Showbiz XI snatch semifinal spots to join Axis Club in Ramazan T20 Cricket Tournament 2021

The Virtual Axis Ramazan Festival T20 Cricket Tournament moved into the semifinal stage at the Asghar Ali Shah Cricket Stadium, Karachi.

Karachi Friends Veterans CC will face AO Clinic Veterans in the first semifinal while Showbiz XI will vie against Axis Cricket Club in the second one.

AO Clinic Veterans thrown out Showbiz XI by 57 runs in the third quarterfinal. Meanwhile Showbiz XI qualified, as the fourth team for semifinals on better run rate.

According to tournament organizer Asghar Azeem, Showbiz XI’s skipper Saud Qasmi invited AO Clinic Veterans XI to bat, who accumulated 188-4 with Farrukh Rizvi hammering 60-ball 98, hitting 4 sixes, 6 fours.

Chasing the target, Showbiz XI got the disastrous start with 45-6, however, Daniyal Aziz’s 47-ball 67 gave an olive branch to the team. But they could reach 131-9 in 20 overs which turned out enough for them to qualify for the semifinal stage.

Saud Qasmi, renowned actor, was presented the guest of honour memento by Axis Cricket Club President Khawaja Ahmed Mustaqeem. The event had the presence of Sindh Olympic Association Vice President Engr Mehfoozul Haq, Kh Fawad Ahmed and SJAS President M Asif Khan.
