Badminton Champion from consecutive 5 years, Mahoor Shahzad gets fully-funded Scholarship

Mahoor Shahzad, has been selected by Badminton World Federation (BWF) for their fully funded scholarship for University of London’s PG Certificate in Sports Management.

The 24-year-old, Mahoor Shahzad, has been selected by Badminton World Federation (BWF) for their fully funded scholarship for University of London’s PG Certificate in Sports Management.

Mahoor is languishing at 140 in the world with 44 wins in her vocation.

Apart from being the National Badminton Champion of Pakistan for 5 consecutive years, she has also retained the title of Pakistan no.1 since 5 years.

Among the 70 applications from at least 35 countries, one fully-funded scholarship for University of London’s January 2021 intake went to Mahoor Shahzad, a female applicant from Pakistan.

She is the lone Pakistani player who won a GOLD medal in Pakistan International Series 2019, Nepal International Tournament 2018 and Pakistan International Series 2017. Besides this, she won a Bronze Medal in Bulgaria International Tournament and Silver Medal in Pakistan International Series 2016.

Moreover, she is the first Pakistani female badminton player to achieve a ranking of 133 in the world.

Mahoor aim to be among the world top 100 players and represent Pakistan in Olympics 2021 InshaAllah.
