KPK beat top seed Army squad to reach All Pakistan National Master Cup Table Tennis C'ship 2021 Men's team final
Young Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team upset top seeded players from Pakistan Army in the men’s team event semifinals of the ongoing Youth Empowering All Pakistan National Master Cup Table Tennis Championship at Lala Rafique Sports Arena.
Youth Empowering All Pakistan National Master Cup Table Tennis Championship 2021 moved into the final stage at Lala Rafique Sports Arena, Peshawar.
The Young Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team upset top seeded players from Pakistan Army in the men’s team event semifinals.
The finals will be played today (1st February). Director General Sports KP Asfandyar Khan Khattak will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony.
Pakistan WAPDA pulverized over Pakistan Army in the women’s team event final 3-0.
WAPDA team, including Raheela Ashraf, Aisha Sharjeel and promising Perniya Khan recorded a one-sided 3-0 victory against Army team, while young KP team recorded a thumping victory against seeded Army team 3-2 in the semifinals battle and qualified for the final.
In the first match of women’s team event, WAPDA’s Raheela brushed aside Nosheen Wasim 3-0, 11-9, 11-9 and 11-3, WAPDA’s Ayesha walloped Sana Muzaffar of Army 3-1, 7-11, 11-8, 11-6 and 11-6 in the second match while in the third match, WAPDA’ sensational Perniya outsmarted Hoor Fawad of Army 3-2, with a score of 11-4, 11-6, 8-11, 8-11, 11-4.

KP Table Tennis Association Patron-in-Chief Manzoor Qadir graced the ceremony as chief guest. The event had the presence of SVP Kifayat Ullah, Secretary Muhammad Usman, Tournament Director Syed Jaber and Youth Ambassador Absar Ali.
In the men’s team event semifinal, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa upset Army 3-2 to qualify for the final. In the first match, Army’s Obaid Shah defeated KP’s Ummam Khawaja 3-1, in the second match, Army’s M Hamza defeated KP’s Haseeb 3-0 but after that, KP’s Shayan defeated Faizan of Army 3-2, KP’s Ummam Khawaja defeated M Hamza 3-2 to draw the score at 2-all.
In the fifth and decisive match, KP’s Haseeb defeated Army’s Obaid Shah 3-2 to help their side book berth in the final. In the second semifinal, WAPDA defeated KP (B) 3-1 to reach the final, where they will face KP team.
