Pakistan No. 1 Fahad Khawjah make shiny start in Youth Empowering National Masters Cup Table Tennis C'ship 2021
Pakistan No. 1 Fahad Khawjah outplayed Muhammad Yousuf of Punjab in the first round of Youth Empowering National Masters Cup Table Tennis Championship 2021, which is being played at the Lala Rafique Sports Arena, Peshawar Sports Complex.
The second edition of Youth Empowering National Masters Cup Table Tennis Championship 2021 commenced at the Lala Rafique Sports Arena, Peshawar Sports Complex.
Teams from all provinces besides Pakistan Army, Pakistan WAPDA, Pakistan Railways and Islamabad are participating in the championship.
The opening match played between Pakistan No. 1 Fahad Khawjah and Muhammad Yousuf of Punjab where top seeded Fahad Khawjah, who represented Pakistan in the International Masters in Doha and Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, recorded a fine 11-8, 11-9, 11-8 victory.
Another top-class national-level player Asim Qurashi of WAPDA trounced Abdullah Naeem of Islamabad 3-1 with the final score line of 13-11, 7-11, 11-9 and 11-7.
In the other thrilling match seeded player Faizan Zahoor of Pakistan Army recorded a 13-11, 12-14, 11-9, 9-11 and 11-9 victory against Owais Jamshed of Pakistan Army.
Former Chief Commissioner Right to Information and Chairman KP Table Tennis Association Azmat Hanif Orakzai graced the opening ceremony as chief guest.
The event had the presence of Col. Junaid of Army Sports Control Board, SVP KP Table Tennis Association Kifayat Ullah Orakzai, coaches Yasir Khan, Amna and Saira and other officials.
