Pakistan Federation Baseball gear up to hold Baseball Exhibition Matches at Shandur Festival 2021

Pakistan Federation Baseball will hold Baseball Exhibition Matches during the Shandur Festival next year.

Sheikh Mazhar Ahmad Secretary General PFB while talking with media said that Syed Fakhar Ali Shah President of the federation met Director General of Gilgit-Baltistan Sports Mr. Hussain Ali. During the meeting, development and promotion of baseball in the area was discussed. It may be recalled that Pakistan Federation Baseball had recently organized exhibition matches of baseball in Gilgit and Skardu. Syed Fakhar Ali Shah thanked the Director General of Sports for his cooperation in organizing the matches successfully and for the facilities provided in this regard.

Syed Fakhar Ali Shah said that the successful organization of baseball exhibition matches in Gilgit and Skardu has raised our spirits and now we will organize men's and women's baseball exhibition matches during the Shandur Festival in July next year. Players of Pakistan's Men's and Women's National Baseball Teams will take part in it. We want to hold these matches in collaboration with the Gilgit-Baltistan government. People belonging to the baseball family will be invited during the matches and we will try to invite the presidents of the World Baseball Softball Confederation and the Baseball Federation of Asia. He further said that due to these exhibition matches of baseball, a soft message of Pakistan will be sent to the world and the world will come to know that Pakistan is the most beautiful country in the world in terms of tourism which will also promote tourism in the country.

Director General Sports Gilgit-Baltistan Mr. Hussain Ali said, that he is happy that for the first time a national team played matches here. As political turmoil is on the rise in the region due to the elections, baseball matches could not be given full attention. But as Syed Fakhar Ali Shah said that the federation wants to hold baseball matches here during the Shandur festival in the month of July, in this regard full cooperation will be made with the federation for the successful organization of the matches and I hope that as the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan have a vision for tourism, it will also provide a lot of support to tourism.

Sheikh Mazhar Ahmed further said that the treasurer of the federation Tahir Mahmood was also present in the meeting. At the end of the meeting, the President of the Federation Syed Fakhar Ali Shah once again thanked Mr. Hussain Ali and the Special Communications Organization (SCO) for organizing the baseball matches in Gilgit-Baltistan successfully. He also presented baseball equipment to Mr. Hussain Ali for the development of baseball in Gilgit-Baltistan.
