KRC races to resume from 6th September

The Karachi Race Club (KRC) has announced that the weekly Gymkhana race will resume on Sunday (Sept 6) following a five months break due to COVID-19 pandemic.

“The races will be held under government SOP’s and the wearing of face mask will be mandatory for all staff and racegoers,” the sources added.

The race card and handicap will be taken out on Sept 3.

The KRC was compelled to stop its races in the aftermath of the countrywide lockdown announced by the federal government on March 14.

According to sources, the closure has caught a heavy loss to the institution approximately up to the tune of Rs8 million.

Meanwhile. the resumption of races will coincide with the Defence Day of Pakistan and Defence Day Cup will be the main attraction.
