650 participants to take part in country's first online Badminton coaching course

Sindh Olympic Association Vice President Mahfooz ul Haq will inaugurate the country's first online Badminton coaching course.

The country's first online Badminton coaching course will commence today (23rd July). It will be inaugurated by Sindh Olympic Association Vice President Mahfooz ul Haq.

The workshop has been organized by Sports For Life in collaboration with Sindh Olympic Association. It is the biggest workshop for Sports for Life with more than 650 coaches and players have registered from all over Pakistan and abroad for the workshop.

Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary, Sindh Olympic Association, Ahmed Ali Rajput, appreciated the efforts of Sports for Life for spreading sports awareness among the youngsters during the COVID lockdown and hoped that Government allows opening sports arenas soon. Engr. Mahfooz ul Haq said it is great to see enthusiasts and sportspersons taking a keen interest in online sports courses and lessons which is a healthy sign. `It will help in the promotion of Badminton as a sport and will Insha Allah produce new talent, he said.

Shezad Kazi, CEO, Sports for Life, said that it is the fifth workshop and our success can be judged by the fact that over 1000 players and coaches for our program and we will start physical coaching workshop throughout Sindh after the lockdown ends

Nasira Ilyas is the Event Incharge and Mehwish Zaman is the coordinator of the event. Dr Syed Muhammad Sayid is the Workshop Director. He hoped that more and more sportspersons register so that it will help promote the game in the country.

Ex-International Player and Coach Javed Iqbal, Coach Amir Islam, Dr Syed Muhammad Sayid and Akif Jaleel are conducting the workshop while Pakistan top-ranking and International player Mahoor Shahzad, International Player Palwasha Bashir and National Champion 2019 Syed Ali Mehdi will be motivational speakers in the workshop.
