PFB to open Khawar Shah Women's Baseball Academy in Rawalpindi

The Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) has announced the opening of a Women's Baseball Academy in Rawalpindi, the academy is named after Khawar Shah, the founder of the Pakistan Baseball Federation.

The Pakistan Women's National Baseball Team made their appearance at the 2016 Women's Baseball World Cup in South Korea and finished 7th overall.

Now, the Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) has announced the opening of a Women's Baseball Academy in Rawalpindi, to polish the skills of the promising women athletes.

The academy is named as "Syed Khawar Shah Baseball Academy". Khawar Shah, who is the founder of the Pakistan Baseball Federation. 

PFB President Syed Fakhar Ali Shah said that: 
"The Academy marks one more step towards the development of Women's Baseball" in the country.
Shafqatullah Niazi has been selected as the head coach. The Baseball Federation will run it in collaboration with the Youth Education and Sports Welfare Society (YES). 

The inauguration will be scheduled as soon as schools and universities reopen in the country. It will feature a game between the Pakistan Green and the Pakistan White teams.
