Neem Tree triumphs at Karachi races

Second favourite unknown bay filly Neem Tree atoned to the Pakistan Day Cup loss while lowering the colours of favourite five-year-old bay horse Wild Wish in the feature event of the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

Form horse Neem Tree has finished on the board in all her five outings of the year, which include a hat-trick. She gets past the public fancy horse by seven lengths with rider Tariq Baran astride to create little stir.

Filly Stylish was placed third three-and-a-half lengths away while bay horse Aslan completed the frame among six horses following withdrawal of Boogey Man.

Earlier, favourites obliged punters in the first three races.

The third and supporting race saw unknown pedigree bay filly Rainbow galloping to a facile four lengths victory over colt Blue Chip.

Chestnut horse Don Khalifa was beaten into third place by distance while filly Satisfy completed the board further beaten by a length-and-a-quarter among five starters.

At the outset, unknown pedigree bay colt Free Hand sprinted to half-a-length victory over filly Pari Packer to pick up spoils in the opener.

Nany and Fly Free followed the two in same order in a field of seven horses.

Rider M. Manzoor piloted unknown pedigree chestnut filly Sania Power home by three-and-a-half lengths over colt Phatyal in the next race.

Snow Queen occupied the third place on board beaten by four lengths while Sea Gold completed the frame further a length and-a-half away.
