Mahoor alongside Palwasha secures Runner-up spot of Kenya International Series 2020

Pakistan Badminton stars Mahoor Shahzad alongside Palwasha Bashir secured runner-up spot of the Kenya International badminton Series 2020 which was held at the Shree Swaminarayan Academy, Mombasa, Kenya.

In the women double's final, top seeded Egyptian duo of Doha Hany & Hadia Hosny defeated Mahoor & Palwasha by 21-13, 21-17 to secure the Kenya International badminton Series 2020 title.

Earlier, Pakistani duo defeated local favorites Kenyan pair Tanya and Diya in a very tough match by 21-17 and 21-14 in the semifinal.

In the Round 1 match, top seed and Myanmar badminton star Thet Htar Thuzar had upset, bronze medalist of South Asian Games 2010 & 8 times Pakistan National Champion, Palwasha Bashir by a decisive 2-0 result with the games score of 21-12, 21-6.

National Badminton Champion of Pakistan, Mahoor Shahzad, whose current world ranking is 147, lost to second seed Fabiana Silva of Brazil in the quarterfinal of women singles with the final score line of 21-17, 21-19.
