Unseeded duo of Mahoor & Palwasha wins Bronze in Uganda International Badminton Open 2020

Pakistani Badminton duo of Mahoor Shahzad and Palwasha Basheer made a perfect team debut at Uganda International Badminton Open 2020 by taking the bronze in women's double category in Kampala, Uganda.

In the semifinal, world number 152 Mahoor alongside Palwasha lost to the second seeded Indian pair of Jakkampudi Meghana & Poorvisha S Ram with the final score line of 21-3, 21-11.

In the quarterfinal, unseeded Pakistani pair caused a major upset as they trounced Aminath Nabeeha Abdul Razzaq & Fathimath Nabaaha Abdul Razzaq from Maldives.

The final score line was 21-14, 21-19.

Shaban Nkuttu, President of the Uganda badminton Association (UBA) thanked all the foreign players for coming to Uganda to spice up the tournament.
