Gulfam Joseph secures 17th place in Asian shooting rankings

Sharp shooters Gulfam Joseph, Usman Sadiq, and Hassan Abbas have secured Asian rankings for the first time.

According to the rankings released by Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) for December 2019, Shooters Gulfam Joseph, Usman Sadiq, and Hassan Abbas have secured Asian rankings for the first time.

Marksman Gulfam Joseph will suite up for Tokyo Olympics 2020 in 10-metre Air Pistol event after his brilliant performance in the recently concluded Asian Shooting Championship in Qatar. This helped him to achieve the 17th spot in Asia rankings.


In 25-meter Rapid Fire Pistol event, Ghulam Mustafa Basheer bettered his ranking to 7th position but Khalil Akhtar dropped to 11th place.

In trap event, Farrukh Nadeem retained 29th position but Aamer Iqbal fell one position to the 43rd and Usman stood 32nd. 

In 10-meter Air Rifle for men, Hassan is 108th while Zeeshan ul Farid jumped from 86 to 74 and Rashid Idrees went up to 62 from previous 92.

Nadira Raees went down to 90th spot from 70th in 50m Rifle 3 Positions event.

In 10-meter Air Rifle for women, Minhal Sohail plunged to 134 and Nadira to 163.

In skeet event, Usman Chand slipped to 22nd from 13th.
