Pakistani athletes collect 9 bronze medals in Boxing, Beach Volleyball, Fencing & Judo events of South Asian Games 2019

Pakistan added 5 bronze in Boxing, one bronze each in Beach Volleyball and Fencing and 2 bronze in Judo competitions at 13th South Asian Games which are being held in Kahtmandu and Pokhara in Nepal.

 

Pakistani boxers are performing well in their respective weight category competitions although they have been unable to grab any gold or silver but do have 5 bronze medals in their tally through Naqeeb Ullah, Mahmood Ul Hassan alongside female compatriots: Razia Bano, Mehreen, and Rukhsana Parveen.

The Fencing Bronze came in the Men's Epee Individual competitions where Ali Saeed Ud Din clinched this first ever international medal in the sport for Pakistan. Pakistani Fencing Squad comprises of total 10 players which include: Iqra Asif, Khadija Fatima, Fariha Haneef, Sidra Ashraf, Ali Saeed Ud Din, Mehmood Sharif, Muhammad Sharif, Khalid, Nazar Abbas , Zaheer Mushtaq and Kashif Ali. 

Men's Beach Volleyball team of Pakistan also captured a bronze by series of great game play displayed by Razzaq Muhammad and Waseen Muhammad who were against the host nation's, Man Bahadur and Dil Bahadur Sunar in the third position match, where the Nepali players fell by set score of 2-1  

While at Judo competitions, Humaira Ashiq won bronze in Women's 48 KG weight category and another bronze in the same sport came in Men's 66 KG weight class through Muhammad Hasnain.
