Pakistan Women's Green Team defeats Blue Team in an exhibition Baseball game (2019)

Pakistan Women's Baseball Green Team overpowered the Blue Team in an exhibition Baseball match as an Initiative for Woman Empowerment at Governor House, Lahore.

Pakistan Baseball Federation (PBF), Sarwar Foundation and WeC Sports jointly organized an exhibition baseball match as an Initiative for Woman Empowerment where Pakistan Women Baseball's Green Team competed against Pakistan Women Baseball's Blue Team in a dominant fashion. 

The match was played at Governor House Lahore, yesterday, where the Green Team won the match quite convincingly by a huge margin of 10 runs. Najma Bibi, Anila, Aqsa, Manahal scoring two runs each and Maham and Ghazala scoring one run each, proved to be the best players to earn their team the victory in the game.

PBF President, Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, at the end, also announced that Pakistan's Women Baseball Team will participate int the Asian Baseball Championship 2019 for which the team will leave on 9th of November to compete against the teams from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Philippines and India.

While for the losing side, Raheela and Bakhtawar scored two runs each alongside Rabia, Tuba and Waheeda, who each scored one run. Pakistan Greens' Aqsa and Bakhtawar of Pakistan Blues hit Grand Slams which led to their team’s four-runs.

Pakistan Baseball Federation is rapidly developing as not long ago PONY Baseball International’s Japan-based Asia-Pacific Baseball Director, Takeharu Nasu, arrived in Pakistan to promote PONY baseball for the teenagers of the country. 

He was warmly welcomed by the President of Pakistan Federation Baseball, Syed Fakhar Ali Shah along with other officials and provincial members. He later visited Yar Hussain Baseball Academy in Swabi to review baseball training along with President PBF, Dr. Shaheen Gulraiz (Director Youth Baseball Development PFB) and Fakhar Amir Kazmi (Legal Advisor PFB).
