Bangladesh women beat Pakistan women in a thrilling contest

Bangladesh women beat Pakistan women by 1 wicket in a thrilling second game of the series to level it at one apiece at Gaddafi stadium Lahore.

Bangladesh women leveled the two match series 1-1 after a thrilling victory by one wicket in the second game that was played at Gaddafi stadium in Lahore.

Batters Fargana Haque, Murshida Khatun and Rumana Ahmed contributed most to the chase as Bangladesh chased down the target of 211 in the final over of the innings. 

Selecting to bat after winning the toss, Pakistan team only managed to score 210 runs before being bowled out in 48.2 overs. 

Nahida Khan top scored with 63 of 73 balls for Pakistan. Javeria Khan with 24, Bismah Maroof with 34 and Aliya Riaz with 36 were other noteworthy contributions that took Pakistan to a modest score.

For Bangladesh Rumana Ahmed picked up 3 wickets for 35 runs and Salma Khtaun managed to get 2 batters out.

Chasing a moderate score, Bangladesh looked comfortable throughout.

Pakistan managed to get two wickets for 29 runs but opener Murshida Khatum and two down Fargana Haque added 82 runs for the fourth wicket partnership to take control of the chase. 

Fargana Haque top scored with 67 for her team. Murshida Khatun made 44, Rumana Ahmed made 31 and Sharmin Sultana contributed 27 runs to the chase. 

Bangladesh stumbled at the end of  the chase, losing wickets in quick succession but it was too little too late as Bangladesh managed to get home with one wicket and 1 ball to spare.
