Pakistan women's team sweeps Bangladesh

Pakistan women's cricket team defeated Bangladesh by 28 runs in the final T20 international to seal the series 3-0 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Pakistan women's cricket team completed the 3-0 sweep against Bangladesh after beating them by 28 runs in the third and final T20 international match played at Lahore's Gaddafi stadium on 30th October 2019.

Pakistan's skipper Bismah Maroof chose to bat after winning the toss but they did not have the best of starts as both Bismah and opening batter Ayesha Zafar were back in the pavilion inside six overs with just 19 on the board.

Omaima Sohail and Javeria Khan then took the reins and connected on valuable 66 run partnership. Javeria top scored for Pakistan with 54 from 48 balls while Omaima managed to get to 31 from 29 deliveries.

The rest of batting lineup could not get into double figures as Pakistan reached a moderate total of 117 from 20 overs.

Jahanara Alam continued her good tour, picking up 3 wickets for just 12 runs.

Defending a moderate total, Pakistani bowlers wrecked havoc from the very start leaving Bangladesh four down with only 12 runs on the board.

Nigar Sultana and Fargana Hoque showed some fight with 30 and 27 runs respectively but after they fell no other batter could add anything of value to the chase as the whole team only managed to get to 89 runs from their allotted twenty overs.

Saba Nazir and Anam Amin picked up a brace each for Pakistan.

Javeria Khan was awarded the player of the match honours.
