In a late burst four-year-old bay filly Gamez Over overcome front runners to land The Pakistan Day Cup in the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

Running on the heels of Neem Tree and Wild Wish, Gamez Over trained and ridden by Ghulam Shabbir II, kicked in straight to win by three-quarter-of-a-length over the former.

Four-year-old chestnut colt Kick seized third place beaten by a length-and-a-half pushing Wild Wish to fourth three-quarter-of-a-length away among nine starters.

It is pertinent to mention that Gamez Over was beaten by filly Honey Queen in her last run hands down in the 2,000 Guineas of Pakistan.

At the outset favourite unknown dark bay filly New Hope obliged all and sundry galloping to three lengths victory over Free Hand to land the opener.

Business Man and Jugni G occupied the following two places on board after the field was reduced to seven following the withdrawal of Welcome Venus and Again Aie.

Another unknown pedigree bay filly Rainbow made it two victories on the trot by pulling off an upset by getting the better of colt Fantastic Game by four lengths in the next race.

The public fancy colt Phatyal had to be content with third place as Vieto Power completed the frame.

Half money favourite bay horse Aslan justified his credentials while claiming the fourth and last race. He defeated Kishmish by two and-a-half lengths as Shandar Love and Satisfy followed the two in same order.

Shabbir partnered a brace of winners as trainers — Gamez Over and Aslan.
