Pakistan to battle Iran at Volleyball event of 7th CISM Military Games today

Iran and Pakistan are all set to face each other today in their 4th group game of Volleyball event at CISM Military Games 2019 which are being held in Wuhan city of China.

 

The 7th CISM  Military Games' Volleyball event would see Iran and Pakistan teams competing today in the fourth game of group B which, besides the two mentioned teams, also includes: Korea, Canada and Netherlands. 

It is significant to mention here that Pakistan has been performing well in the previous matches as the green team first made Netherlands fall by 3-0 and yesterday beat Canada by the same scoreline.

The only time Pakistan faced the loss was when they went down to Korea in their second group match and even then, it wasn't an embarrassing blowout for the team as they lost only by a difference of one point with the final scoreline of 2-3. 

Pakistan's Volleyball squad comprise of: Anwar Khan, Farooq Haider, Hamid Yazman, Muhammad Yaseen, Abuzar, Fahad Raza, Afaq Khan, Asif Nadeem, Mubashar Raza, Muhammad Usman, Muhammad Dawood and Usman Faryad.

The 2019 Military World Games are the first international military multi-sport event which are being held in China and also it is the largest military sports event ever to be held in China, with over 10,000 athletes from over 140 countries.

As many as 24 athletes from Pakistan are featuring in three different sports of these international Games which are: Golf, Volleyball and Shooting.
