Pakistan triumphs over Canada 3-0 at the Volleyball event of 7th CISM Military World Games

Pakistan beat Canada 3-0 in their third group match in a volleyball match at 7th CISM Military World Games in Wuhan, China, on Tuesday.

Pakistan and Canada battled for the victory of third group game of Volleyball event at 7th CISM Military World Games which are being held at Wuhan, China, where the Green shirts easily outscored their rivals by the final score of 3-0. 

Talented Afaq Khan guided Pakistan towards their second victory. Pakistan made 75 attempts of spikes and won 35 and had 15 attempts of blocking and won three. 


Pakistan, with seven points, now stands at the second spot in group B where other member nations are: Netherlands, Iran, Canada and Korea. Pakistan's first victory came against Netherlands quiet convincingly with the final score of 3-0 as well.

Iran and Pakistan will face each other in the round five today. 

Pakistan Volleyball Squad: Anwar Khan, Farooq Haider, Hamid Yazman, Muhammad Yaseen, Abuzar, Fahad Raza, Afaq Khan, Asif Nadeem, Mubashar Raza, Muhammad Usman, Muhammad Dawood and Usman Faryad.

The 7th CISM World Games – the 7th Peace Games – are being held in Wuhan City of China from 15 to 30 October where as many as 24 athletes from Pakistan are featuring in three different sports which includes: Golf, Volleyball and Shooting.

With a total of 23 CISM Disciplines and one Demonstration sport, Tennis, CISM also confirmed that at least Track and Field and Archery are organized for para athletes. For the first time in the CISM World Games history, Boxing competitions are open to female military boxers as well.
