Pakistan to square off against South Korea in Volleyball event of 7th CISM Military World Games

Pakistan is set to take on South Korea in their next Volleyball game of the 2019 CISM Military World Games which are being held in Wuhan City of China.

 

Pakistan and Netherlands were at battle in the first group fixture of Volleyball competitions at 7th CISM Military World Games, where the Pakistani players easily defeated their counterparts with the final score line reading 3-0.

Netherlands was far behind Pakistan in all three sets, as Pakistan scored 25 points comparative to opponent's 17 only in the first set. Pakistan then kept up their performance in the second set as well, winning it 25-11. The third set was a roller coaster ride for Netherlands, they improved from 11 to 15 points in the third set which were still not enough to thwart Pakistan as the green side score 25 points again to triumph in the match dominating all three of the sets played. 

Pakistan would now be facing South Korea in the second group game today. 

Pakistan Volleyball Team consists of Anwar Khan, Farooq Haider, Hamid Yazman, Muhammad Yaseen, Abuzar, Fahad Raza, Afaq Khan, Asif Nadeem, Mubashar Raza, Muhammad Usman, Muhammad Dawood and Usman Faryad.

The 7th CISM World Games – the 7th Peace Games – are being held in Wuhan City of China from 15 to 30 October where as many as 24 athletes from Pakistan are featuring in three different sports which includes: Golf, Volleyball and Shooting.

With a total of 23 CISM Disciplines and one Demonstration sport, Tennis, CISM also confirmed that at least Track and Field and Archery are organized for para athletes. For the first time in the CISM World Games history, Boxing competitions are opened to female military boxers as well.
