Pakistani Shooters perform skillfully at 7th CISM Military World Games

The participating Shooters from Pakistan once again proved their abilities by performing well enough in the 2019 CISM Military World Games which are being held in Wuhan city of China.

 
The 7th CISM World Games – the 7th Peace Games – are being held in Wuhan City of China from 15 to 30 October where as many as 24 athletes from Pakistan are featuring in three different sports which include: Golf, Volleyball and Shooting. 

Representing Pakistan in the competitions of Shooting, Khalil Akhtar, Farrukh Nadeem, Zafar Ul Haq, Aamir Iqbal, Junaid Waqas, Zafar Iqbal and Ghulam Mustafa Bashir performed remarkably well as in the first qualification round of trap event’s individual category, Farrukh Nadeem scored 72 points (25, 24, 23) to secure the 7th position while Aamer Iqbal scored 70 points (22, 23, 25) to take the 11th spot.

Zafar Ul Haq scored 58 points (18, 21, 19) managing to get to the 43rd position.

The second qualification round will be played today and the finals are scheduled for tomorrow. 

The one's to represent Pakistan in the prestigious sport of Golf are: Adeel Hashmi, Taimoor Khan, Ashfaq, Ansar Mehmood and Muhammad Naqas as a team while the Volleyball team consists of Anwar Khan, Farooq Haider, Hamid Yazman, Muhammad Yaseen, Abuzar, Fahad Raza, Afaq Khan, Asif Nadeem, Mubashar Raza, Muhammad Usman, Muhammad Dawood and Usman Faryad.

With a total of 23 CISM Disciplines and one Demonstration sport, Tennis, CISM also confirmed that at least Track and Field and Archery are organized for para athletes. For the first time in the CISM World Games history, Boxing competitions are opened to female military boxers as well.
