Pakistan to feature in South Asian Junior Girls’ Under-16 Netball Championship 2019

Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) has named a 13-member National squad which will compete at 2019 South Asian Junior Girls’ Under-16 Netball Championship which is to be held from 18 to 22 October in Nepal.

Pakistan female Netball squad is all to showcase their skills in the upcoming South Asian Junior Girls’ Under-16 Netball Championship which would begin its proceedings from 18 to 22 October in Nepal. 

Pakistani team would be up against four other nations which include Sri Lanka, India, the Maldives and hosts Nepal, where Pakistan will open its campaign against Nepal on 18th October and then there would be a clash between Pakistan and Sri Lankan teams the next day. 

Pakistan will also be fighting against the arch rivals India on 20th October in their third game while the last group encounter of Pakistani team will be against Maldives on 21st October. The final is scheduled for 22nd October. 
 
The best Pakistani Netball players would be featuring in this international bonanza for which Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) has named a 11-member National squad which includes Maheen Aleem (Vice Captain), Yumna Sultani, Momal Khurshid, Aiman Rehman, Laiba Zulfiqar, Shezeen Fatima, Arshiya Jumani, Zainab Raheel (Captain), Umaima Uneeb, Deena Zahid and Iqra Shafiq.

Shazia Yousuf will act as Coach with Nisha Sultan as the Assistant Coach.

The squad was also trained for three-weeks in a training camp at the PSB Coaching Centre in Karachi during which 18 players took part among which the above mentioned were selected to feature in the upcoming international event. 

PNF President, Mudassar Arain also informed that the Pakistan squad will leave on Tuesday for Kathmandu, Nepal.
