SBP stuns KPT in Osaka Naya Nazimabad Ramzan Cricket Cup 2019

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) won over Karachi Port Trust (KPT) by just one run to earn the winning spot in the Osaka Naya Nazimabad Ramzan Cricket Cup 2019 which is being played at Naya Nazimabad cricket ground in Karachi.

 

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) locked horns with Karachi Port Trust (KPT) in the 15th match played into the tournament in which State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) shockingly clinched the win of the match by defeating  Karachi Port Trust (KPT) team just by one run.

Opted to bat first, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) boys accumulated a total of 197 runs with seven outs by complete 20 overs. It was not much a high target to be chased for Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and so they kept on with their good performance but as the game proceeded, they started taking pressure and eventually lost the match just by a difference of one run.

It was considered as one of the most thrilling and nail-biting game throughout the tournament so far. Ahmed Butt was awarded with the Man of the Match title. 

SCORE CARD


The second clash was between Santex Groups and K-Electric teams in which Santex Groups players tasted their defeated by their loss of 3 wickets. It was the 16th match of the tournament.

The loser team folded up the first innings with 172 runs by five outs till 20 overs and in response, K-Electric players wrapped up their win with scoring 173 runs by seven outs on 20 overs. Muhammad Mohsin was declared the Man of the Match from K-Electric's side.  

SCORE CARD


As many as 16 teams have lined up to compete in this mega cricket event which is having two matches scheduled daily during the league phase with the first match starting at 08:00 PM sharp and the other at 12:00 midnight. The quarters-finals are scheduled for 23rd and 24th May while the semi-finals will be staged on 25th May, followed by the final on 26th May.  

The winner team will be awarded with Rs. 1.2 million worth of cash prize while the runner-up team will bag a prize pursue Rs. 600,000. The man-of-the-match of each game would get a motorbike.
