Momin Khan & Bilal Akhtar secures 67th Mr. & Jr. Mr. Pakistan Body Building Championship titles

Momin Khan and Bilal Akhtar of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa clinched Mr. Pakistan and Junior Mr. Pakistan titles in the National Mr. and Junior Mr. Pakistan Bodybuilding Championship 2019 which was held at Nishtar Hall in Khyber Pakhtunhwa.

A tough fight was witnessed for both Mr. and Junior Mr. Pakistan titles but with the accurate judgments of the top judges and after thorough assessment the results were given in favor of Momin Khan and Bilal Akhtar claiming the titles respectively.  

It is for the second consecutive times that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa hosted Mr. and Junior Mr. Pakistan Bodybuilding Championship. The 66th edition was held in Swat. A total of about 180 players from across Pakistan took part in 10 different junior and senior weight categories besides Mr. Junior Mr. Physic, Master, National Junior and Senior contests.

Momin Khan, hailing from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has given an edge to Pakistan Army by winning the Mr. Pakistan title while Bilal Akhtar of WAPDA, also hailing from Peshawar, grabbed the Junior Mr. Pakistan title. Bilal Akhtar also grabbed another title of becoming the 2019 National Junior Champion after going through posing in the National Championship part of the title contest while Yaseen Khan, former Mr. Pakistan, got the National Senior Championship title.

In the Pakistan Master title Shoukat Shehzad of Pakistan WAPDA took the title after beating all the other competitors with his great show of muscles. In the Team Championship WAPDA won the major trophy after securing 111 points with five gold medals, five silver medals and two bronze medals, Pakistan Army remained at 2nd with 68 points including four gold medals, one silver medal and three bronze medals, Pakistan Railways got third position after securing 46 points with one silver medal, and four bronze medals, Sindh took fourth position with one gold medal and a silver medal, Punjab took two bronze medals by securing 12 points, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remained at 6th with one silver point and two bronze medals, Balochistan got one bronze medal.

In the +100 KG weight category, Muhammad Yaseen of KP won gold medal, followed by Abdul Majeed and Mazhar Kaleem while in the same weight Yaseen Khan of KP won the National Champion title while the 100 KG weight category winner stood Kamran Baloch taking gold medal, followed by Rasool Khan and Nasir Uddin while Shoukat Shehzad was adjudged as the National Junior Champion-2019 in the same weight category.

In the 90 KG weight category, Umar Iqbal won gold medal, followed by Rafaqat Hussain and Omaish Jalil while Ahmad Khan was adjudged as the National Champion in the same weight. 85 KG weight category was claimed by Momin Khan who won gold medal in his class, followed by Nadeem Najmi and Nisar Khan on second and third positions, respectively. While Waqas Tariq was given the title of National Champion.

Shehzad Qurashi won gold medal in 80 KG weight category with Muhammad Ayaz Khan managing to stand on the second spot and the third position holder stood, Talha Ishfaq. Fida Hussain Baloch was adjudged as National Champion. In 75 KG, Kishwar Khan won gold medal, followed by Abdul Manan and Mohsin Jamil. 70 KG winners stood Awais Sajjad, Salam and Usman, respectively. 65 KG title went to Salman Khan while Amjad Yasin managed the second spot and Awais Khalid settled for the third position. In 60 KG, Mohsin won gold, Danish won silver and Zeeshan won a bronze medal. Ghulam Abbas, Shahid Naveed and Tariq Khan are the 55 KG weight category winners.

Men Physic: Fahad Khan
Men Junior Physic: Usman

Secretary General Sindh Olympic Association, Ahmad Ali Rajpoot, Deputy Director Army Sports Control Board, Col. Nabil Ahmad Rana, Senior Vice President Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation, Sohail Bin Qayyum, Vice President, Tariq Zafar, former Mr. Pakistan Arshad Mehmood Mughal and Muhammad Shahbaz, Ex-Mr. Pakistan and Asian Gold Medalist Khalid Ali, Ex. Mr. Pakistan Muhammad Hanif, former National Champion, Syed Saeed Jamil, Tariq Zafar, Abdul Ali Baloch and Secretary Pakistan Bodybuilding Association, Tariq Pervez were the noticeable appearances in the championship.

All the high achievers were awarded with certificates, medals, trophies and cash prizes according to their achievements.
