Lahore lifts PCB Under-13 Inter-Regional Cricket Tournament trophy
PCB Under-13 Inter-Regional Cricket Tournament came to a successful end with Lahore team winning the tournament at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) organized yet another event for boys of under-13 years of age categories in which several cricket players of the respective age compete with each other along with their team member so as to win top honors in the tournament to which, defeating the opponent team, Lahore's U-13 Cricket team finally picked up the trophy of the tournament.
A fine all-round performance by Faham Ul Haq and a half-century from Obaid Shahid helped Lahore over powered Rawalpindi by 40 runs to win the PCB Under-13 Inter-Regional Cricket Tournament.
Lahore was set to chase 142 runs in 25 overs in the final match, Rawalpindi were bundled out for 101 in 22.3 overs as Faham, son of former Pakistan’s National Cricket Team captain Misbah Ul Haq, returned fine bowling figures of three wickets for four runs with Mohammad Usman taking 2-15.
Ubaid Shahid batted well for the team and scored 54 runs off 62 balls with the help of seven boundaries and earlier he also claimed a wicket and Faham contributed 26 as Lahore collected 141-3 in their allotted number of overs.
At the end, Man of the match title went to Ubaid as well as the Best Batsman of the event for scoring 235 runs throughout. While Best Bowler was declared Zohaib Khan as he took 14 Wickets throughout the event.
Best Wicket-Keeper title went to Shahbaz Javed because of his incredible efforts of 7 Catches whereas Mazhar Ahmed was awarded with the title of Best Fielder (8 Catches).
Best All-Rounder was declared Mohammad Arshad with his score of 149 Runs and 4 Wickets throughout.
The winner and runner up team players were also handed the Cricket Kit-Bags.
