PAF to face Army in the final of Inter-departmental Men’s Netball C'ship 2018

PAF defeated WAPDA while Army won over PAK Police in the semi-final matches of Inter-departmental Men’s Netball Championship 2018 being played at Pakistan Sports Board Coaching Centre in Karachi.

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and WAPDA teams played the first semi-final match of the championship in which PAF defeated the opponent team, WAPDA struggling through their players strong game-play and finished the match booking their place into the final of the championship on a 33-30 score-line.   

Muhammad Akhtar and Muhammad Zohair Chouhan played the key role in this major win for PAF team.

While in the second encounter Army registered an easy win over Pakistan Police as they ended the match on 51-19 score-line. Through their star players Zahid Khan and Abdul Haque Army team was able to make their way into the final of the championship finishing the match as a one-sided clash.

Whereas Navy and Pakistan Railway teams were battling for the win in the third match of the day in which Navy marked a convincing 32-12 goals win over Railways team and got 2 points.

In evening matches, PAF once again won by 45-28 against Police team while WAPDA managed to win this time over Navy by 41-18 goals.

Today at 05:00 PM sharp, Army and PAF will face each other in the final match while for the 3rd Position match; WAPDA will compete with Police team at 04:00 PM. There will also be a match played for 5th Position in the championship in which Navy and Railway will be battling against each other so as to earn the win of the match.

Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) in joint efforts with Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has organized this three-day Inter-departmental Men’s Netball Championship on a national level which is featuring all the affiliated department teams such as: Pakistan Army, WAPDA, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Pakistan Police and Railways.

Mr. Gohar Raza, Sports Manager, IBA University was the honorable chief guest who witnessed the semi-final games between the participating teams along with a considerable amount of spectators.
