Karachi Cricket Premier League from 28th December

As informed by the organizer, Zohair Naseer at the launching ceremony of Karachi Premier League (KPL), as many as eight (8) teams belonging to the different areas of the city of lights – Karachi, have confirmed their participation in this mega cricket league in which the matches will be played starting from 28th Dec. and the final will be played on 12th of January and all matches will be played from 02:00 PM till 11:00 PM. 

The Chief Executive of Badar Expo Solutions also said that there would be eight (8) teams, having Grade-I and Grade-II players, in the league and they will play 31 matches.

Participating teams are namely stated below:

2. Clifton Lions

3. Malir Dolphins

4. F.B Area Tigers

5. Gulshan Stallions

6. North Hawks

7. Johar Bears

8. DHA Cougars

Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar lauded Badar Expo Solutions for their venture. “It is heartening to note that many big companies have come forward as supporting partners to make this league successful,”. Former chief selector Iqbal Qasim and other veteran cricketers also attended the launching ceremony.

There are several sponsors of this league such as: Pepsi Pakistan, Gohar Group of Companies, Pakistan International Airline (PIA), Tanishq, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), Master Lubricants, Sea Gold, Habitt, Swiss One, Almirah, J., Golootlo and National Bank of Pakistan (NBP).
