Mahoor & Amir move into 2nd round of Nepal International Badminton Series 2018

Mahoor Shahzad and Amir Saeed won their respective matches to move into second round of Nepal International Series 2018 being played in Nepal.

Pakistan's star Badminton players Mahoor Shahzad and Amir Saeed won their respective matches to move into second round of Nepal International Series 2018 being played in Nepal.

The Karachi-predicated Mahoor Shahzad won against Ganesha Mungrah of Mauritius in a one sided affair by 2-0 in just 15 minutes at the Nepal International Series 2018.

In the first game, 22-year-old Mahoor made a confident start as she engaged her opponent Ganesha Mungrah of Mauritius in long rallies and capitalized on soft opportunities and comfortably positioned herself to won the first game at 21-8. 

In the second game, eight seeded Mahoor faced little bit of resistance against unseeded player of Mauritiu then Pakistan’s foremost player started playing aggressively and gave the opponent no opportunity to execute her game to seal the game and match by 21-6. 

Today(Wednesday), Mahoor will face unseeded Sashina Vignes Waran of France at 1:15 pm (PST).

In the men's singles first round, Amir Saeed of Pakistan defeated Irfan Ansari of Nepal  by 2-0 in just 25 minutes battle at the Nepal International Series 2018.

 Amir started the match on a positive note as he gave no easy points on their serve and built pressure on Nepali player and didn’t allow them to play freely to win the first game by 21-12.

In the second game Amir showed excellent performance as he overpowered world rank#1283 Irfan by 21-17 to book berth into second round of the mega tournament.

Now (Wednesday), Amir Saeed will face fourth seeded Goh Giap Chin at 9:45am (PST).
