Pakistan & Sri Lanka to co-host ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2018

A total of eight teams including Sri Lanka , Afghanistan, India, Oman, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong and United Arab Emirates (UAE) will participate in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2018.

Pakistan along with Sri Lanka will be co-host Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2018 scheduled to be held from December 6. A total of eight teams including Sri Lanka , Afghanistan, India, Oman, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong and United Arab Emirates (UAE) will participate in the tournament.


The teams have been divided into two groups.The Group A consists of hosts Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, India and Oman. The Group A matches will be held in Colombo from December 7. 
In Group B, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, and UAE matches will be played in Karachi from December 6. The Group ‘B’ matches of Pakistan leg will be played in two venues of Karachi including National Stadium and South-End Ground Club from December 6 to 9.

The participating teams will arrive in Karachi on December 4. Pakistan will feature in the opening match of the tournament on December 6 against Hong Kong at National Stadium.

All the matches will begin at 9:30 am.

Group B-fixtures:
Dec 6: Pakistan v Hong Kong (NSK), Bangladesh v UAE (Southend Club Ground, Karachi) 
Dec 7: Pakistan v UAE (NSK), Bangladesh v Hong Kong (Southend Club Ground, Karachi)
Dec 9: Pakistan v Bangladesh (NSK), UAE v Hong Kong (Southend Club Ground, Karachi).

The national selectors announced the 15-member squad to be led by wicket-keeper Rizwan Ahmad.

Sahibzada Farhan, Zeeshan Malik, Ali Imran, Hussain Talat, Saad Ali, Khushdil Shah, Saud Shakil, Mohammad Rizwan (captain/wicket-keeper), Ashiq Ali, Muhammad Asghar, Ghulam Mudassar, Sameen Gul, Musa Khan, Muhammad Ilyas, Suleman Shafqat.
