Pakistan beat Thailand by 8-1 in the 18th Asian Games Baseball

Pakistan trounce over Thailand to win a straight match in the Baseball game being played at the 18th Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia.

 
Today, at 9:00 am PST, Pakistan competed against Thailand in its Men's Team Preliminary Group A - Match 3 which was played at the Rawamangun Baseball Field. The match turned out to be a one-sided affair as Pakistan won 18-1. Thailand failed to register anymore runs expect one on the score-sheet.  

Pakistan had previously lost to Japan 15-0 in its Men's Team Preliminary Group A - Match 1 a day before. Pakistan will now play its next match against China in Men's Team Preliminary Group A - Match 3 tomorrow(28 August), the match is scheduled to begin at 12:00 Pakistan Standard Time (PST).

The Pakistan Baseball Team consists of following players:

  3. Faqir Hussain
  4. Umair Imdad Bhatti
  5. Muhammad Zakir
  6. Ubaid Ullah
  7. Fazal Ur Rehman
  8. Jawad Ali

  10. Muhammad Usman 

A total of ten teams, the most ever, are competing in the competition at two competition venues in Jakarta: GBK Baseball Field and Rawamangun Baseball Field. The baseball teams of Laos, Sri Lanka and hosts Indonesia are making their Asian Games baseball debut. The top six ranked teams, along with the hosts Indonesia (ranked eighth), are advanced to the main draw. The bottom three teams are competing, with the winner advancing to the main draw.
