Badminton star Mahoor Shahzad win Annapurna International Badminton trophy

Pakistan’s badminton champion Mahoor Shahzad win Annapurna Post International Corporate Badmintion 2018 in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Pakistan’s foremost badminton player Mahoor Shahzad win Annapurna Post International Corporate Badmintion 2018 in Kathmandu, Nepal. 

In women’s singles final, 21-year-old Mahoor Shahzad engaged Nepal’s Rashila Maharajan in long rallies and capitalized on soft opportunities as she maintained her lead throughout the match to win it by 2-0.

Mahoor Shahzad lead the charge from the very beginning as she comfortably positioned herself to won the first game at 21-15. Mahoor continued her aggressive play in the 2nd game also as Karachi born Mahoor didn’t gave any opportunity to Rashila to play freely on her way to win in the second game at 21-10.

According to Pakistan Badminton Federation, the Badminton Asia confederation has also selected Mahoor Shahzad for the Asia Olympic Project (AOP) Program for the preparation of next Olympic games.

Mahoor has already brought home the women singles title in Pakistan International Series 2017 held at Islamabad.
