Rashid Latif Cricket Academy Wins title of National Seniors Cricket Cup

Rashid Latif seniors cricket academy outplays Okara seniors in the final match to win the 19th edition of National seniors cup cricket tournament played at Lawai Cricket Stadium, Naya Nazimabad, Karachi.

Final match of the 19th National Cup cricket cup cricket tournament was played between Rashid Latif seniors cricket academy and Okara seniors where Rashid Latif seniors defeated opponents by a huge margin of 102 runs to secure the title.

Batting first, Rashid Latif seniors posted 249 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in allotted 30 overs. Mohammad Rizwan played superb cricket for his 75 runs while skipper Asim Jah contributed 57 runs and Qamar Ibrahim scored 37 runs.

Mohammad Hafeez of Okara seniors was pickup of the bowler as he got 3 wickets for 43 runs while Khalid hussain picked up 2 wickets.

In reply, Rashid Latif seniors wrapped up the innings of Okara seniors on 147 runs to win the match by 102 runs. Irshad Ahmed played innings of 60 runs while Mohammad Hafeez added 30 runs. Nadeem Khan picked up 3 crucial wickets while skipper Asif Jah got 2 wickets from Rashid Latif seniors. Mohammad Rizwan of Rashid Latif seniors cricket academy was named as Man of the Final Match.

Other individual awards were also distributed among the players where Tahir Mughal of Sialkot Giants received player of the tournament award while Mohammad Rizwan of Rashid Latif seniors was given best batsman, Abdul Qadir of Rashid Latif seniors was given best bowler and Mohammad Raees of Multan whites received the award of best wicket-keeper.

Managing Director Omer Associates Nadeem Omer was chief guest of the final who handed over the winning trophy to the Captain of Rashid Latif seniors cricket academy Asim Jah and also gave away cash prize of Rs.150, 000. Mohammad Hafeez of Okara seniors received the runners up trophy and Rs.75,000 cash award. A large number of cricket greats and spectators were also present in the ground.
