Paradise Estate, Taj Water Tank victorious in Amar Cables Cricket Championship

Paradise Estate overpowered Punjab Cottages by 6 Wickets while Taj Water Tank defeated Muridke Tigers by 50 runs in the ongoing 8th edition of Amar Cables T-20 Veterans Cricket Championship.

In the first match, Punjab Cottages scored 135/9 in the allotted 20 overs where Khurram Afzal 43, M. Siddique 24 and Shahid Ali 23 were top scorers. Mohammad Azmat picked up 5 wickets for Paradise Estate. In reply, Paradise Estate chased down the target in of 136 runs in 15.1 overs for the loss of only 4 wickets to win the match by 6 wickets. Rehamn Qadir scored 78 while Mohammad Arshad scored unbeaten 13 runs.

Shahid Ali took 2 wickets for Punjab Cottages. Mohammad Azmat received the Man of the Match award from the chief guest Bilal Hashmi.

Second match was played between Taj Water Tank Tank beat Muridke Tigers. Batting first, Taj Water Tank scored 251/6 in 20 overs and set a huge target of 252 runs. Imran Abbas played a blinder as he hit a 32 balls century as he scored 119 runs in just 39 balls with the help of 12 sixes while Yousaf Siddique contributed 71 runs. Mohammad Shakeel took 3 wickets for Muridke Tigers. In reply, Muridke Tigers played hard to achieve the target but managed to score 211 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs as Taj Water Tank won the match by 50 runs. Mohammad Amin scored 113 runs while Mohammad Shakeel scored 39 runs.

Imran Abbad and Mohammad Imran picked 2 wickets each for Taj Water Tank. Imran Abbas for his brilliant all-round performance was given Man of the Match award by Chief Guest Salman Khan.
