Army, Wapda line up for National Baseball final

Pakistan Army and Wapda defeated their opponent teams and moved into final of 23rd Khawar Shah National Baseball Championship at the Bahria Town Stadium, Lahore.

Pakistan Army and Wapda showed their strength when they set up a final showdown of the 23rd Khawar Shah National Baseball Championship at the Bahria Town Stadium, Lahore. 

Army quashed Police in one sided encounter by 21-0 in the first match of the day with Faqir Hussain scoring four runs, Arsalan Jamshaid, Ubaidullah and Muhammad Rafi adding three runs each, Hidayatullah, Saqib Khan and Mazhar contributing two runs each and Nazir and Waseem scoring one apiece.

Wapda showed outstanding performance as they thrashed Punjab with big margin by 16-2 where Umair Imdad Bhatti’s scored four runs including a home run and Zaheer scored three runs. Among other scorers were Mohammad Waseem, Fazal-ur-Rehman and Zubair Nawaz scored two runs each while Sumair Zawar, Burhan Johar, Adnan Butt and Zakir Afridi scored one run each. For Punjab Usman and Usama scored one run each.
