WAPDA Inter-unit Baseball tournament commences

Tournament’s opening match was played between MEPCO and GEPCO where GEPCO thrashed the hosts MEPCO by 2-0. Manager Administration Mepco/ Manager Pakistan WAPDA Baseball team Jalilur Rehman were also there to encourage the players.

Before the start of the tournament, Chief Executive Officer Multan Power Company (MEPCO) Engineer Muhammad Akram Chaudhry in a press conference stated that all the possible facilities would be provided to all the teams and officials. Teams from Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO), Faisalabad electric supply company (FESCO), Lahore electric supply company (LESCO), Islamabad electric supply company (IESCO) and National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) are the participants of the event.

Secretary MEPCO sports committee Engineer Ali Akram Gujjar while speaking on the occasion said that “we have finalized all the arrangements of the event and it is an honor for us to hold the tournament”. Manager admin Jalil-Ul-Rehman, Manager Transport and security Maj (R) Farrukh Javed Ghulam, Sports officer Sharafat Ali, Deputy Manager Mian Muhammad Qaisar, concerned officers, coaches of all teams and players were present on this occasion.
