Zaid, bowlers win U-19 series for Pakistan

Pakistan U-19 ODI team played brilliantly after winning the toss and put a massive 309 runs on the board for the loss of 7 wickets. Opener Ali Zaid Alam was the star performer from Pakistan as he played a knock of 128 runs in 134 balls with 10 fours and 4 huge sixes. Ali Zaryab Asif also scored half century, he contributed 56 runs while a little cameo from captain Hasan Khan put Pakistan on the top of game. He scored 21 in just 11 balls. Lawrence Neil-Smith and Oliver Davies picked up 2 wickets each while Blake L Edwards got 1 wicket.

In reply, Australia U-19 team only managed to score 260 runs in 50 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. Opener Ryan Hackney was bowled out on 109 runs while     Cameron Green scored 47 runs from down order and Pakistan won the match by 49 runs. Suleman Shafqat picked up 3 wickets while Shaheen Shah Afridi got 2 and Hasan Khan, Ali Zaryab Asif got 1 wicket each.

Ali Zaid Alam was declared the man of the match. It is to be mention here that Pakistan U-19 team won the forst match while the second match was abondaned due to rain and Pakistan defeated Aussies in the 3rd match by 49 runs to win the series 2-1.
