Ufone lifts Pepsi CPL T20 trophy

Ufone defeated Allied Bank to win the Pepsi CPL t20 championship 2017. Batting first, Ufone posted 186 runs for the loss of 5 wickets on the board. Salman Khan played superbly for his 66 unbeaten runs from Ufone while Bilal played a blinder and slammed 47 runs and Ali Sikander another top scorer with 27 runs. Faiz Sultan took 2 wickets from Allied Back while Awais Khan and Asif Zaheer picked 1 wicket each.

In reply, Allied Bank only managed to score 153 runs in 20 overs. Rizwan with 45 runs remains the top scorer while Umar Ashfaq scored 19 but could not help his time to get over the line. Khayyam Abbas grabbed 3 wickets while Najjeeb Ullah took 2 wickets from Ufone. Ahsan Zaidi and Nasir Ali picked up 1 wicket each.

Salman Khan was declared the man of the final match and Ufone was awarded with the glittering championship trophy. Aam Awam Party chairman Sohail Zia Butt graced the final as chief guest while Unifoam Director Bilal Sheikh, CPS chairman Ahsan Zaki, Amir Cables CEO Amir Ilyas Butt, Allied Bank divisional head Sarwar Ali Usman, renowned TV actor Rashid Mehmood, Nadeem Pehalwan and Faisal Riaz were the guests of honor and they along with chief guest gave away trophies and souvenirs to the winners and top performers.
