Tayyab, Nasir breeze into final of Pakistan International Squash Tournament 2020

World no. 43 Tayyab is all set to meet former world no.35 Nasir Iqbal in the final of $12,000 Pakistan International Squash Tournament 2020 at Mushaf Squash Complex, Islamabad.

The winner of recently concluded BISL International Squash Championship 2020 Tayyab stormed into the semifinal after defeating Nasir Iqbal, who has recently won 8th consecutive satellite international events.

In the first semifinal of Men’s singles, Tayyab Aslam hammered former Asian junior champion Israr Ahmad 11-4, 11-7, 11-5 in just 25 minutes while Nasir Iqbal trounced 4th seeded Amaad Fareed with the final score line of 11-4, 11-7, 11-5 in just 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, third seed Madina Zafar defeated top seed Amna Fayyaz with the score line of 10-12, 3-11, 11-9, 11-5, 11-4 in 44 minutes long encounter while in the second semifinal second seed Faiza Zafar defeated Moqaddas Ashraf 11-8, 11-5, 11-4.

Finals of both Men & Women events will be played on 11 December, 2020 at 3:30 PM.
