Pakistan Handball Federation declared Muhammad Zubair player of the year 19-20

Muhammad Zubair was the part of finest Pakistan Handball Team who won Gold medal by beating India in men’s team event in 13th South Asian Games held in Nepal.

Pakistan is the most fruitful handball team of South Asia, winning 2 gold and 1 silver medal at the South Asian Games ahead of their arch-rivals India. Pakistan won gold in the 2010 and 2019 edition of the South Asian Games beating India by 37–31 and 30–29 respectively.

Zubair, who works for Pakistan WAPDA, was the member of finest Pakistan Handball Team who won Gold medal by beating India in men’s team event in 13th South Asian Games held in Nepal from 1-10 December 2019.

Due to this achievement and the previous effective record of Muhammad Zubair, Pakistan Handball Federation has declared Muhammad Zubair the best player of the year 19-20.

Naveed ur Rehman has nominated as the Best Defender of the Pakistan Handball Team while Asif Ali is awarded Goalkeeper of the year 19-20 title.

Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) awarded cash prizes to the fifteen members of Pakistan Handball Team, Muhammad Zubair was among the players who were handed over cheques of Rs 500,000 each as Rs. 7.500 million were distributed among all the 15 players.
