International Squash event postponed
The 2nd DCO Lahore International Squash Cup 2016 fourth day’s competitions were postponed due ‘to terror attacks’ here at Gulshan Iqbal Park the other day.
The 2nd DCO Lahore International Squash Cup 2016 fourth day’s competitions were postponed due ‘to terror attacks’ here at Gulshan Iqbal Park the other day.
Lahore Squash Association (LSA) secretary Mamoon Khan said: “The entire nation is in grief and depressed due to this sad incident, that’s why the quarterfinals of the event were postponed and new dates will be announced soon.
” He added that the players were also very sad and did not able to play in such circumstances.
Female player Riffiat Khan said: “It is very unfortunate that the terrorists have targeted women and kids.
” Tayyab Aslam, Aiman Shahbaz, Musadiq Ashraf, Zoha Khalid, Samar Anjum, Habiba Khan, Amana Latif, Roshana Mehboob, Farhan Zaman, Israr Ahmad, Mehran Javed and others also showed their sympathies to the victims.
