Muhammad Afzal wraps 3rd Pakistan National Rated Chess Championship title victory

The 2019 Pakistan National Rated Chess Championship concluded successfully with Muhammad Afzal being crowned the champion at PSB Coaching Center in Lahore.

The Pakistan National Rated Chess Championship, into the current year which marked its third successful edition winded up successfully in the presence of honorable chief guest, Naser Ullah Rana, Director Sports PSBCC. 

Muhammad Afzal emerged as the top spot winner with his intelligent and genius skills in the game, not letting anyone to get any near to him for taking the title of this championship. He was followed by Ahmad Awais on the runner up spot while Aamir Butt managed to take the third position. 

Fourth to Sixth spots are claimed by Rao Shahid, Muhammad Rizwan Durrani and Husnain Hassan Butt, respectively as none of the other participants could match their game strategy, falling behind them on much lower positions of seventh and eighth which were taken by Rana Hussain Shahryar and  Zorez Shabkhez. 

Ninth position went to Khalid Mahmood Ashraf where as  Ammar Bin Arshad settled for the last spot.

Chess Association of Punjab (CAP) in collaboration with Chess Federation of Pakistan organized this mega chess event that was hosted by Chess Association of Punjab (CAP), National Chess Academy Lahore and and Lahore District Chess Association (LDCA). 

The top ten winners of this event were awarded with several cash prizes such as: the winner received Rupees 3,000 while the runner up bagged 2,000 Rupees. The third position holder got Rupees 1,000 and fourth and fifth spot winners were given 800 and 700 Rupees while sixth to tenth position gainers received Rupees 500 each.
