Zorez Shabkhez stands at top spot in 2nd Pakistan National Rated Chess Championship

The 2019 Pakistan National Rated Chess Championship wrapped up successfully with Zorez Shabkhez taking home the title victory at PSB Coaching Center in Lahore.

The Pakistan National Rated Chess Championship, into the current year which marked its second successful edition winded up successfully in the presence of honorable chief guest, President Chess Association of Punjab, Sarosh Ahmed. 

The first three spots are claimed by Zorez Shabkhez, Nadeem Ahmad and Mobeen Ud Din, respectively as none of the other participants could match their game strategy, falling behind them. While Tariq Ali and Aamir Butt, with their great efforts, managed to take fourth and fifth positions. Sixth position went to Sibt Ali where as Abdul Jabbar settled for seventh spot. 


Sarosh Ahmed, Muhammad Rizwan Durrani and Shabab Nazar were able to take hold of eighth, ninth and tenth positions. 

Chess Association of Punjab (CAP) and PAK Chess Club (PCC) in joint efforts of Chess Federation of Pakistan, organized this mega chess event that was hosted by Chess Association of Punjab (CAP) and Lahore District Chess Association (LDCA). 

The top ten winners of this event were awarded with several cash prizes such as: the winner received Rupees 3,000 while the runner up bagged 2,000 Rupees. The third position holder got Rupees 1,000 and fourth and fifth spot winners were given 800 and 700 Rupees while sixth to tenth position gainers received Rupees 500 each.
